Bisco Fortify (5ml) is an unfilled resin-based composite surface sealant designed to protect and enhance the performance of anterior and posterior composite restorations. Finishing and contouring procedures with rotary instruments can leave behind microcracks and surface irregularities, which may contribute to increased wear during the early functional period. Bisco Fortify helps seal these surface imperfections, supporting improved wear resistance and restoration durability.

Formulated for use with Bis-GMA and UDMA-based composite resins, Fortify can improve the wear characteristics and long-term marginal integrity of composite restorations. Its unique formulation allows the material to be air-thinned to a very low film thickness before light curing, helping create a smooth sealed surface without interfering with the restoration’s occlusion. Clinical data reports up to 45% reduction in posterior composite wear at five years when used as a surface sealant.
