Shofu Composite Finishing Kit

• Dura-Green Stones: These silicon carbide stones are used for the initial, fast and efficient contouring and gross reduction of composite material.
• Dura-White Stones: These aluminium oxide stones are used for fine finishing, smoothing the surface after contouring to prepare for the final polish.
• Versatility: The kit is available in two types to fit different dental handpieces:
  • CA (Contra-Angle): Designed for use with contra-angle handpieces, offering enhanced manoeuvrability.
  • FG (Friction-Grip): Intended for use with high-speed handpieces (airo tors), providing optimal cutting efficiency.
• Shapes: The stones in the kit typically come in CN1 (cone) and FL2 (flame/lens) shapes.
• Durability and Sterilization: The abrasive points are highly durable, cost-effective, and autoclavable for reuse. 

Usage:

• Reducing and finishing composite fillings.
• Addressing interproximal and subgingival areas due to the specific shapes and sizes of the stones.
• Achieving aesthetic results and a smooth, natural finish on restorations. 

Directions for Use

1. Adjusting: Use the Dura-Green stones with a recommended speed of 5,000–20,000 min⁻¹ (maximum 30,000 min⁻¹) and light pressure (3-5 N) to achieve the desired contour.
2. Fine Finishing: Switch to the Dura-White stones with a recommended speed of 5,000–20,000 min⁻¹ (maximum 30,000 min⁻¹) and even lighter pressure (2 N) for fine finishing.
3. Technique: Use a gentle, back-and-forth motion and a high-speed handpiece with water spray to prevent heat generation and manage debris.
4. Final Polish: After using the finishing kit, a dedicated polishing system (like the Shofu Super-Snap system) should be used to achieve a high-gloss finish.
5. Sterilization: The stones can be sterilized in an autoclave as per the manufacturer’s instructions for reuse
